Details

This curry mee business is currently being run by the second generation of the family, and they served white curry noodles. In Penang, you can find their kiosks on Kuantan Road, Terengganu Road, Genting Cafe (Island Glades), and the Shark food court. They are also present at Sun Sea Kopitiam in Kuala Lumpur’s Overseas Union Garden. Among all of their shops, the stand on Kuantan Road is particularly well-known and only operates in the morning.

Ah Ban’s curry mee is known for its fragrant and savory coconut-infused curry soup. A teaspoon of pungent chili paste is supplied as a condiment to enhance the flavor. The curry mee’s foundation is made up of yellow noodles, thin rice vermicelli, and crispy fresh bean sprouts. It’s topped with freshly boiled cockles, a peeled prawn, tofu puffs, and pig’s blood cubes.

The cuttlefish in the curry mee is extremely delicate and of high grade. Similarly, the solid texture of the pig’s blood cubes adds an unusual aspect to the dish. The combination of these ingredients results in a delicious and filling curry mee
