Details

Located in a hidden alley, this stall has been serving its signature koay teow th’ng for over 30 years. The recipe was handed down to the second generation and continues to include a variety of ingredients and a hearty broth made by cooking old hens. The soup has a wonderful, deep, and tempting chicken flavor that permeates the entire dish. Customers can choose from koay teow, bee hoon, or yellow mee noodles to accompany their koay teow th’ng. In addition to the traditional soup version, a dried version tossed in a flavorful black sauce is also offered.

Slices of chicken, optional congealed blood cakes, and four delicious sorts of balls are placed on top of the bowl of koay teow th’ng. A drizzle of flavorful deep-fried garlic oil and fresh spring onions are added as finishing touches. The pork tendon ball stands out as a favorite among the numerous ball variations thanks to its delightfully gelatinous texture and hints of ginger flavor. A side dish of poached chicken flesh, liver, and heart is artfully piled on top of blanched bean sprouts as a lovely accompaniment to the koay teow th’ng.
