Laksa Janggus is renowned for its homemade Laksa, which is not produced using machines like other types of Laksa. The portions are pretty large, and the gravy of the Laksa Janggus seems thicker. Laksa Janggus is offered in two varieties: the standard and the special, which comes with an egg. The restaurant is so named because of the Janggus tree, which is actually a Cashew tree in Kelantan and is locally known as Pokok Ketereh. However, the locals of Balik Pulau refer to it as Laksa Timah, after the owner, Timah. The restaurant follows a self-service concept where customers queue up and place their orders. Along with Laksa, the restaurant also provides Mee Kari, Mee Udang, Bihun, Rojak, and Pisang Goreng, among other well-liked dishes. Wednesdays still see no business at the restaurant.
