This restaurant is well known not only to the locals but also to tourists; on weekends, their Koay Teow Th’ng is frequently sold out before midday. If you want to enjoy their silky and flavorful Koay Teow Th’ng, arrive early.
Each bowl of Koay Teow Th’ng is RM 3.40 (small). A large piece of pork on top of the Koay Teow (Flat Noodles) will be provided by the seller. Besides, it also includes some of their homemade eel balls, lettuce, and a significant amount of pork lards. Although the eel balls are not as bouncy as they may have seemed, one can gradually taste the sense of mild seafood-sweetness from the eel balls. The koay teow arrived smooth but not in a clump, making it quite delicate.
Moreover, the seller also provide Dry version of Koay Teow, and it same price as Koay Teow Th’ng, which is RM3.40 (small). The ingredients include some of their homemade eel balls, lettuce, and a significant amount of pork lards into the Dry version of Koay Teow. Their homemade Chilies (Bird’s Eye Chilies/Cili Padi), which are created with chopped Bird’s Eye Chilies and some chopped Garlic, are also what attract me in.
It’s not just the Koay Teow. Some fresh Lime Juice will then be added together with the Chilies and Garlic, as well as some Soy Sauce. The Chilies add more than just flavour to the Koay Teow Th’ng; they also give it a jolt. The nicest thing is that you can add however much chilies you want.
